Professional Practice Assistant/Associate Professor – Civil and Environmental Engineering

Do you want to inspire and train the next generation of engineers who will address our nation’s critical infrastructure problems?

The department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Utah State University seeks applications from candidates for a full-time, academic year Professional Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice (nontenure track). We seek applicants who can enrich students’ experience by contributing proficiency with and understanding of engineering best practices applied in real-world settings outside of academia. Primary responsibilities will include teaching, directing, and developing undergraduate level courses in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Courses will be determined based on a combination of identified gaps and opportunities in the program and the successful candidate’s expertise. The successful candidate will also direct, advise, and evaluate student groups in designing, testing, and building senior capstone projects. We seek candidates who are excited to participate in undergraduate curriculum
development, student recruitment and retention efforts, student organizations, and other service activities.
