Laurie McNeill is an Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and also has a joint appointment at the Utah Water Research Laboratory. Recent projects include: hexavalent chromium analysis and occurrence, environmental effects of static rocket motor testing, and behavior of trace inorganic contaminants in water distribution networks.  She is the faculty advisor for the USU chapters of Engineers Without Borders (EWB) and American Water Works Association (AWWA). She has won the USU Robins Award for Teacher of the Year (2007) and Faculty Advisor of the Year (2013), and in 2010 the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching named her the Utah Professor of the Year.
